Shine Bright, But Not Too Bright: Decoding the Sparkle of Lab Diamonds

Shine Bright, But Not Too Bright: Decoding the Sparkle of Lab Diamonds

You need to ask yourself a couple of things. Did I buy a D-colored one? Did I buy a flawless diamond? And did I buy a stone that's larger than three carats? If your answer is yes to any of the three, you are definitely going to have these second and confusing thoughts.

Let's break this down.

Why does my lab diamond look so shiny? People usually see diamonds that are a G or an F color with inclusions; hence, they can't be this clear and perfect. So when you see a clear lab diamond, which is rare because a natural diamond of this color and carat is tough to come by and primarily seen in archive and museum pieces, the next time you feel this way about your lab diamond, know that you need to look at a natural diamond of the same carat, same color, and same inclusions to get a better perspective. Do not look at a G or an F highly included natural diamond and compare it with flawless, absolutely no inclusions.
